Who handles your information

Francesco Delacqua, an individual developer based in Illinois, United States, operates Stedevo and is responsible for the personal information handled through its app, website, and optional account service. You can contact Francesco Delacqua at [email protected] about your information.

Core workout planning, logging, history, and local training analysis run on your device. Creating an account, using account backups, connecting Apple Health, recording location, and enabling notifications are separate choices. Local use does not require a Stedevo account.

Descriptions of account-linked purchases and membership backup allowances apply when those features are available for your account. Your app and account screens show the features currently available to you.

Information on your device

The app stores information you enter or create, including routines, custom exercises, workout dates and times, sets, weights, repetitions, distance, duration, effort, notes, reminders, and exercise media. Profile information can include your name, date of birth, height, weight, and energy-calculation preferences. Settings include your units, appearance, and notification choices.

Stedevo uses these records on your device to show workout history, estimates, training analysis, insights, and achievements. Local training insights are not a remote AI service.

Apple Health

With your permission and a profile-import action, Stedevo reads height and body weight from Apple Health for you to review. Workout export is a separate choice and can include workout timing, activity, and the optional energy, distance, and effort fields you select. Automatic export can be enabled in the app. Health access can be changed in Apple Health or iOS settings.

Revoking Health access does not itself remove information you already imported into Stedevo or workouts already exported to Apple Health. Imported profile values that you retain in Stedevo can be included in an account backup.

Workout location and notifications

If you enable workout-location recording and grant iOS permission, the app can save latitude, longitude, accuracy, and capture time with a workout. The record may contain precise coordinates when permission and device accuracy allow, even when the interface shows an approximate area. Location recording is not route tracking. Turning it off stops future capture; it does not erase previously recorded locations.

Optional notifications use your notification choices to deliver local training and reminder messages. You can change notification and location permissions in iOS settings.

Account and website information

When you choose Sign in with Apple, the account service receives an Apple account identifier and the name and email information Apple provides, which may be a private relay email address. The service stores account identifiers, profile and account dates, authentication credentials or tokens, and session records to sign you in and manage access.

Session information can include your IP address, browser or device software information, creation time, and expiry time. Authentication cookies keep a browser signed in; the native app uses session credentials. Sessions have a 30-day validity period that can renew during use; this is an access limit, not a promise that every related database record is erased after 30 days. Clearing browser cookies can sign you out. Reading these legal pages does not require a login.

The service also keeps limited operational records, such as account or backup identifiers, action types, timestamps, processing status, and error codes, to complete backup work, prevent abuse, and retry failed operations.

If you email support, the operator receives your email address and whatever information you include. Please describe the issue without attaching a workout archive or unnecessary health information.

Information in backups

Export Backup creates a recovery archive on your device, which you save to a location you choose. Export Backup and Restore from File do not require a Stedevo account. When you choose account backups, the app sends a recovery archive to the account service. It can contain your profile, preferences, routines, custom exercises, reminders, workout records and notes, saved location coordinates, energy estimates, insight preferences, and attached exercise images or videos. Information that would otherwise remain on your device is stored remotely when you upload that archive to the account service or save it with a cloud file provider.

Alongside the archive, the service stores your account association, archive and device identifiers, device name, app version and build, creation time, file size, integrity checksum, backup type, and verification status.

The backup service stores the archive as a recovery file. It checks the file’s size and integrity before making it available; it does not open its individual workout records to provide a web preview, social feed, or training analysis. Uploaded archives can contain identifiable health information.

Exported and downloaded archives are compressed but are not password-protected. Anyone with access to the file may be able to read its contents. Save files only in locations you trust. Your selected file or storage provider handles files under its own terms and privacy arrangements. Stedevo does not manage or delete copies you save outside the account service.

Restore from File validates and previews a file before you confirm replacement of the app’s current data. The app keeps one local recovery copy of the replaced data; a later restore can replace it. Restoring a file does not upload it or change existing cloud snapshots. Automatic cloud backups remain off until you explicitly enable them again.

Downloads use short-lived links. Anyone who obtains a valid link may be able to use it until it expires or the referenced file is removed. Keep downloaded archives and their links private.

Apple purchase information

Apple manages payment and billing for Pro. Stedevo receives purchase information needed to check and restore access, rather than your payment-card details.

When you explicitly link a purchase to a Stedevo account, the service verifies Apple-signed purchase information and checks the current purchase status with Apple. Stored information includes purchase and product identifiers, app and purchase environment, an opaque account-linking token, relevant purchase or expiry dates, current access status, and verification dates.

For account-linked purchases, the service can receive Apple purchase-status notifications and keep limited references, status, dates, and a fingerprint used to recognize conflicting duplicate messages. Full signed purchase proofs are processed for verification and are not stored as the retained purchase record.

A purchase can belong to one live cloud account. After final account deletion, minimal purchase identity, current status, and recovery tokens remain without the deleted profile’s account link so that a later, explicit verified claim can recover purchased benefits. These records are still linkable purchase information; they are not anonymous. Recovery does not restore deleted backups or profile data.

Uses and sharing

Stedevo uses account information to authenticate you, backup files and metadata to provide recovery and backup management, purchase information to verify purchased benefits, and operational records to protect access and complete or retry service operations.

Stedevo does not sell your personal information or use workout, profile, Health, or location records for targeted advertising. Account backups are used to provide recovery and related account operations, not to train a remote AI model.

Apple processes information for Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, and any Apple Health features you choose. See Apple’s Privacy Policy for Apple’s handling of information.

Email sent to [email protected] is used to respond to your request and is processed by the email services involved in delivering and storing your message. Account and backup information also passes through the network, hosting, storage, and security infrastructure used to run the Stedevo service. Optional operational alerts concern service health; they are separate from marketing email.

Information may also be disclosed when necessary to comply with a binding legal requirement or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, with disclosure limited to the information needed for that purpose. If responsibility for Stedevo transfers to a new operator, the change and any effect on personal information will be addressed through the notices and other steps required by applicable law.

Why we may process information

Where EU data-protection law applies, the basis depends on the purpose and information involved:

  • Providing the service you request: account administration, sign-in, backup delivery, and verifying purchased access use information necessary to perform our agreement with you.
  • Consent: optional processing that requires consent, including handling health information where explicit consent is required, depends on that consent. Agreeing to the Terms of Use does not substitute for a separate consent where one is required.
  • Legitimate interests: limited operational information may be used to secure the service, investigate failures or abuse, answer enquiries, and establish or defend legal claims, subject to your rights and interests.
  • Legal obligations: information may be processed to respond to privacy requests or comply with a binding legal requirement.

You can withdraw consent for consent-based processing. This does not undo lawful processing before withdrawal. Change the relevant app/device choice and contact [email protected] if you also want stored information removed. Disabling a feature alone does not delete existing records. Required account information is needed to provide account services; local features remain available without an account.

Where account data is stored

The Stedevo account service and backup storage run on the operator’s server setup in the United States. If you use these features from another country, including an EU country, information you send to the service is processed and stored in the United States. This includes workout and profile information contained in backups you choose to upload.

This location describes Stedevo’s own account and backup storage. Apple and email services handle information under their respective service arrangements; the server location does not mean every service they provide processes information only in the United States.

Protecting your information

The account service uses encrypted connections and restricts access to account data and private backup storage. Stored backup files use server-side encryption. The operator manages the service and its access controls; this is not end-to-end encryption in which only you hold the keys.

No service can guarantee complete protection against every loss or unauthorized access. Keep your device, Apple Account, and downloaded files protected. Contact [email protected] if you suspect a problem involving your Stedevo account or data.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain on your device until you remove them. Disabling future backup, location, or Health activity does not by itself delete records already stored.

Account profile and sign-in information are kept while needed to provide your account, until you delete the account or a privacy request or legal requirement calls for earlier removal. Support correspondence is kept while needed to answer the request, handle related follow-up, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation. We remove information no longer needed for those purposes; there is no single retention period for every kind of record.

Account backup retention depends on the policy shown for your account. The membership policy provides one latest cloud snapshot for Free and up to three automatically selected recent snapshots for Pro. Pro history is spaced across latest, daily, and weekly points when available; exact dates depend on successful backups. Canceling renewal preserves Pro access through the period you have paid for. After confirmed expiry or another verified loss of Pro access, automatic retention keeps the latest snapshot and older cloud snapshots may be deleted without a recovery grace period. Compatible files you exported or downloaded remain restorable without an account or subscription. Your account shows the snapshots currently available for recovery. See the backup terms for limits and the release boundary.

Deleting a backup prevents new download links from being issued and queues removal of stored versions. Deleting your account revokes sessions and account access, then queues backup removal, Apple sign-in disconnection where possible, and removal of the account profile and credentials. Cleanup may remain pending while a required operation is unavailable and needs to retry.

Previously issued download links can remain usable until expiry or removal of their file. Account deletion cannot erase files you exported or downloaded, local workout data and recovery copies, or information already exported to Apple Health. If Stedevo shows instructions to disconnect Sign in with Apple manually, follow those instructions in your Apple Account.

Some records survive account deletion: minimal purchase-recovery information, deletion records used to prevent old recovery copies from restoring deleted data, and limited operational or security records. Deletion records contain identifiers and request times, not the workout archive. Purchase ownership records currently have no automatic age-based expiry. Workout backup limits do not determine how long purchase records are kept.

Minimal purchase records support the period during which purchased benefits can still be verified or recovered, including non-expiring Lifetime benefits, and the resolution of related disputes. Deletion records remain necessary while an older recoverable copy could reintroduce deleted information. Operational records support completing or retrying work and investigating failures, abuse, or unresolved claims. These records do not have a general automatic expiry; we retain them only while needed for the applicable purpose or legal requirement.

If recovery copies of the service contain earlier account or backup information, deletion must also be addressed in those copies under the law that applies. Such copies must not be used to restore an account or information after an acknowledged deletion. Account deletion is not a promise of immediate erasure from every recovery copy or immediate physical disk reclamation.

Deleting your account does not cancel Apple billing. Use Manage Apple subscriptions to stop an unwanted renewal.

Your choices and privacy rights

  • Use core local features without creating a Stedevo account.
  • Choose whether to enable account backups and change that choice in the app.
  • Manage Apple Health, location, and notification permissions in your device settings.
  • Use Export Backup and Restore from File in the iOS app without an account. Manage the copies you save with your chosen file provider.
  • Use Backup history on the website to download or delete available cloud snapshots. Website Download saves a stored snapshot, not current data still on your phone.
  • Use the Account page to export account and backup metadata, revoke other sessions, or request account deletion. The metadata export is separate from downloading workout archives.

Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information, and to withdraw consent for processing based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact [email protected] to make a privacy request.

We may need proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your data, but do not send an identity document or backup file unless specifically requested through an appropriate process. We will respond within the time required by the law that applies to your request and explain any permitted extension or reason a request cannot be fulfilled. Contact us again if you believe a decision was incorrect; this does not limit your right to complain to the relevant authority.

Minimum age

Stedevo is intended for people aged 16 and older. If you are under 16, do not create an account or send personal information to the service. If you believe a child under 16 has provided personal information to Stedevo, contact [email protected] so the information can be identified and the removal request addressed.

Policy updates

When this policy changes, the updated version will identify its effective date. Material changes will be explained through a prominent website or in-app notice, or your account email where appropriate, before taking effect where required. New processing that requires consent will not begin on the basis of a policy update alone.
